Briefing 2021

Initial situation

The control cabinet is a central element of any infrastructure. We ask ourselves how this important element could be completely rethought in order to be able to offer customers future-proof solutions. Together with you, we want to question the entire system – from the technical solution to a viable business model.

The task

In the next 6 months of our IMM co-creation process, a concept including use case, roadmap, storyline and value proposition definition as well as an MVP should be developed.

In doing so, we want to deal with questions like the following:

  • What additional functions are possible?

  • Can AI and deep tech play a role? If so, which ones?

  • How else can the control cabinet be used?

  • Are there exciting new centralised or decentralised models?

  • How could the connectivity be solved?

  • How do we approach the first prototyping?

  • Which personas could we address? Who is the interesting customer?

  • Does the quality of service fit? Does the measurement system measure correctly? A health check.

  • Etc.

Go with us on this journey to rediscover the control cabinet! We look forward to tinkering and co-creating with you!

The perspectives

During the preparation of the #IMM2021 briefing, the idea arose to set up a cooperation between Microtronics and TELE Haase. We see this constellation as an optimal symbiosis between customer application (TELE Haase) and infrastructure integration (Microtronics), which will help us to offer customers real innovations in the future. TELE Haase brings the application knowledge and expertise in relay technology and Microtronics the expertise in the IoT area. And of course you should benefit from both as we work together to develop a smart new solution.

  • The TELE Haase team will support you with technical know-how and the provision of in-house products during the 6-month co-creation process.

  • The Microtronics team will contribute cloud services and devices, as well as associated technical support and business modelling experience.

Ideally, over the course of the #IMM2021 programme, we will create a new solution together that really has the potential to be a market success. It may even make sense to found a start-up afterwards.

  • TELE can support you in this case with access to the Factory Hub ecosystem and

  • both TELE and Microtronics with the use of the equipment beyond the scope of IMM.
